The Apex Electric Operations Center relocates the Town of Apex's electric utility department from the existing public works campus to a new facility tailored to its operational needs. The campus includes three pre-engineered metal buildings: a 21,000-square-foot main building with office, crew, shop, and warehouse space; a vehicle storage building accommodating up to eight service trucks and trailers with an adjacent truck wash facility; and an open-air material storage building for electrical equipment and components. A beacon-like entrance and lobby, showcasing a collection of industry awards and trophies, serve as the focal point of the main building, while a training room accommodates more than 50 people for safety and operational training.
